Blush Budget
A personal budget app that plans the month, logs spending and works out the flags and savings tips from your own numbers.
The problem
Most budget apps are built for card spending in dollars and hide the maths. People paid monthly in naira need to plan tithe, savings, family support and transport first, then see clearly what is left.
Objectives
- Plan a month in under a minute
- Log an expense in two taps
- Flag overspending before month end
- Keep the budget on every device, privately
Process
- DiscoverListed how people actually split a Nigerian monthly salary.
- DefineSeven categories, a suggested split, and rules for flags and tips.
- BuildOne fast page with Supabase sign-in and per-user storage.
- ProveTested month changes, overspend paths and light and dark mode on phones.
Who it's for
Plan the month and see what is left at a glance.
Track savings and tithe against their targets.
Challenges
- Tips must be specific numbers, not generic advice
- Data must stay private to each user
- It has to feel calm and pleasant, not like accounting software
