Mercy Okebiorun, Founder & Principal Data Engineer

Mercy is a data engineer and data engineering leader who has worked directly with three healthcare and pharmaceutical organisations in the US.

  • Leads a data engineering team delivering Azure Databricks and Snowflake data products for a global pharmaceutical brand.
  • Built and shipped specialty pharmacy data feeds to production on Azure Databricks for pharmaceutical manufacturers.
  • Built ingestion, masking and dbt transformation workflows for a multi-hospital network on Databricks, Snowflake and Apache Iceberg.
  • Designed metadata-driven pipelines on Azure that cut ingestion latency by 70% and source onboarding time by 90%.

She also worked in operations and data quality roles in fintech and manufacturing. That background shapes how Merciven works: start from the business problem, then build the simplest system that solves it reliably.
